Privacy policy — Paint, Tile & Wire Calculator

This policy describes how the Android app Paint, Tile & Wire Calculator (package com.digitalshijil.tradeestimator) handles information. It is written to match what the app actually does.

The short version

The app does not collect your personal information. It has no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising. Everything you type stays on your device.

What the app stores, and where

Everything below is stored only on your device, in the app's own private storage:

• Your saved estimates — the name and notes you give them, the measurements you entered, and the results, held in a local database.
• Your settings — metric or imperial, your business name if you set one for PDF exports, and a reference to the logo image if you chose one.
• The last value you typed into each field, so the app is ready when you open it again.
• Waste-factor presets you save, and whether the one-time Pro unlock has been purchased.

None of this is sent anywhere. There is no server behind this app. If you uninstall it, all of it is removed with it.

What the app does not do

• It does not collect your name, email address, phone number or location.
• It does not contain any analytics, crash-reporting, tracking or advertising software.
• It does not read your photo library. When you choose a logo for PDF exports, the app uses the Android Photo Picker, which hands it the single image you picked and nothing else.
• It does not read, create or modify any other file on your device except files you ask it to export.
• It does not show ads.

Permissions

The app asks for no runtime permissions. Its install screen lists billing (for the Pro purchase) and network access. Network access is declared by Google's Play Billing and in-app review libraries so they can talk to Google Play; the app's own code makes no network requests.

Purchases

The optional Pro unlock is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play Billing. The app never sees or stores a card number, billing address or any other payment information. It asks Google Play whether your account owns the Pro unlock and stores only the yes-or-no answer on your device. Google's handling of the transaction is covered by Google's own privacy policy.

Sharing and exporting

When you share an estimate or export a PDF, CSV or JSON file, you choose where it goes through the standard Android share sheet or file picker. The app writes the file and hands it to the app you select. It does not upload anything. Once you send a file somewhere, that service's privacy policy applies to it.

In-app reviews

After you have saved a few estimates, the app may ask Google Play to show its standard review prompt, once. That prompt is Google Play's; the app is not told whether you left a review or what you wrote.

Backups

If Android cloud backup is switched on for your device, Android may include this app's saved estimates and settings in your device backup, governed by your backup provider's policy. The Pro purchase record is excluded; Google Play restores it instead.

Your control over your data

• Export everything: Settings → Export all my data saves every estimate and setting as a JSON file you choose where to keep.
• Delete everything: Settings → Delete all data removes every saved estimate and resets every setting on the device.
• Uninstall: removing the app removes its data with it.

There is no account and nothing held on a server, so there is no deletion request to make.

Children

This app is a tool for building and trade work. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If a future version changes what the app stores or starts transmitting anything, this policy will be updated at this address before that version is released, and the date above will change.
