Classroom Seating Chart ("the app") helps a teacher draw a classroom, keep class lists and make seating plans. This policy says exactly what happens to the information you put into it.

The short version

Everything you enter stays on your device. The app has no account, no sign-in, no server and no sync, and it never uploads your class lists or notes. The only information that leaves your device automatically is Google Play Billing's diagnostics, sent by Google's own billing library.

What the app holds, and where

The app holds rooms and desk layouts, class names, student names, short notes you choose to write about a student (for example an allergy or a hearing need), seating plans, seating rules and the random picker's current round. You type or import all of it; the app never gathers anything by itself.

All of it is stored in the app's private storage on your device. It is included in your own Android device backup (to your Google account) and in device-to-device transfer when you move to a new phone, the same as other app data you choose to back up. It is never sent to DIGITAL SHIJIL LLC or anyone else.

The app does not use the camera and holds no photos of students. It has no behaviour scores or points.

Information that leaves your device

• Google Play Billing diagnostics. When the app checks or makes the one-time Pro purchase, Google's billing library talks to Google Play and sends diagnostic information about that connection. In Google Play's Data safety terms: App info and performance > Diagnostics: collected, not shared, required. Google processes payments; the app never sees your card or account details.
• Files you share. When you export a chart (PDF or PNG) or export all your data (a JSON file), the file goes only where you send it, through Android's share sheet or file picker. The app sends nothing on its own.

There is no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no advertising ID. The app has no internet permission of its own.

Student information and your school

The app is a personal tool for the teacher. It makes no claim of FERPA, GDPR or any other compliance on your school's behalf and is not connected to any school system. Follow your school's own rules for student information, including what you print and share. Exported charts carry the line "For personal record-keeping. Not an official document."

Children

The app is for adults (teachers). It has no child-facing screens; students do not use it. It holds students' names only as the teacher's own records, entered by the teacher.

Your choices and deleting your data

• Export all my data (Settings) saves everything to a file you choose.
• Delete all data (Settings) permanently erases every room, class, student, note, plan and rule from the device and returns the app to a fresh install. Uninstalling the app does the same.
• Because nothing is held on any server, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published at the address above with a new effective date before the app changes what it does.
