The short version
Everything you enter stays in the app's private storage on your own phone. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising, and the app never sends what you type anywhere. The one exception is Google's own: the Google Play Billing library inside the app sends Google diagnostic logs about its connection to Google Play (see "Purchases" below).
What the app stores on your phone
- The devices you add: a name, an optional photo you chose, a session length, and the zones you named.
- Your session history: which device profile was used, how long it ran, whether it reached the end, and when it ended.
- Your plan: which days of the week you intend to run a session, a weekly target, and whether reminders are switched on.
- Your settings: dim mode, chime and pulse.
All of it lives in the app's private storage. Uninstalling the app removes it. Settings → Delete all data removes it without uninstalling, and Settings → Export all my data writes a readable JSON copy wherever you choose to save it.
What the app does not store
Red Light Timer is a timer. It deliberately holds no personal health information of any kind: no skin condition, no symptoms, no before-and-after photos of you, no pain or comfort scores, no body measurements, no heart rate, no sleep data. It requests no Health Connect permission and reads no health data from any other app or device.
Not a medical device. Does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
Photos
If you attach a photo to a device you added, it is chosen through the Android Photo Picker. The app never asks for access to your photo library; the picker hands over only the single image you selected, and the app keeps a downscaled copy in its own private storage. Removing the photo or deleting all data deletes that copy.
Permissions
- Notifications — requested only when you switch reminders on. If you allow them, a session that is running while the screen is off also shows which zone it is on and when it has finished. Decline and the rest of the app works exactly as before; the chime and pulse still arrive.
- Alarms — while a session runs with the screen off or the app in the background, the app asks Android to wake it at each zone change and at the end, so the chime and pulse arrive on time. These alarms hold only the device and zone names, stay on your phone, and are cancelled when you come back to the app.
- Vibrate — the pulse that tells you a zone has changed while your eyes are closed.
- Internet and billing — added by the Google Play Billing library so it can complete a Pro purchase, confirm it later, and send Google its diagnostic logs. The app itself makes no network requests of its own and never sends your devices, sessions or plan to anyone.
Purchases
Pro is a single one-time purchase handled entirely by Google Play. Google, not this app, processes the payment; the app only asks Google whether this Google account owns the product. No payment details ever reach the app or the publisher.
The Google Play Billing library that makes this possible also sends Google diagnostic logs: records of its own calls to Google Play and whether they succeeded, including connection failures. It does this whether or not you ever buy Pro. These logs contain nothing you entered in the app and are not shared with Veltis Labs LLC; Google handles them under its own privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Because they go to Google rather than to us, Delete all data cannot remove them.
Links out of the app
Two places in the app can open vozawellness.com in your browser: the "learn more" control on a VOZA device card, and the VOZA devices button in Settings. Both are things you have to tap. Nothing opens on its own, nothing interrupts a running session, and following such a link is entirely optional — the app is fully usable without owning any VOZA product. Once you are on that website, that website's own privacy policy applies.
Children
Red Light Timer is intended for adults who own a light-therapy device. It is not directed at children and asks nothing of anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version replaces this page and the date at the top changes with it.
