Privacy Policy — Daily Quran Verse Widget
Effective date: 24 September 2026 Publisher: Digital Shijil LLC Contact: contact@digitalshijil.com This policy lives at: https://apps.digitalshijil.com/quran-verse-widget/privacy/
The short version
Daily Quran Verse Widget has no accounts and no sign-in. It has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Everything you do in the app stays on your phone. We never receive any of it, because the app has no server to send it to.
What the app keeps on your phone
- Verses you save, and when you saved each one.
- Days you opened the verse of the day, used only to count your streak.
- Your settings: the time a new verse arrives, extra daily times, widget colours, the background you chose, whether the reminder is on, whether the translation is shown and the Arabic text size.
- Your Ramadan planner, if you use it: the first day you chose, your reading goal, the suhoor and iftar times you typed in, your 30-day checklist, the duas you wrote down and your sadaqah log (amounts and notes). The app works out nothing from them and sends them nowhere.
- A note that you own Pro, with the time Google Play last confirmed it, so Pro features work offline. Google Play remains the record of the purchase.
This information is stored only in the app's private storage on your device.
What leaves your phone
Nothing is sent to us or to any analytics, advertising or tracking service. The only network activity is between the app and Google Play, when you buy Pro or when the app checks that a purchase is still valid. Google's Play Billing Library, which the app uses for that, also sends Google diagnostic logs about its own calls (whether a purchase check succeeded or failed, and connection errors) so Google can keep billing working. These contain nothing you wrote or saved in the app, and we never see them. Google handles all of this under the Google Play Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy. We receive no card details.
When you choose to share a verse, the app hands an image to the app you pick (for example a messaging app). What happens next is up to you and that app.
Backups
If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include the app's saved verses, streak days and settings in your device backup, and restore them to a new phone. The Pro note is left out of backups; Google Play restores your purchase instead. You can turn backup off in your phone's settings.
Permissions
- Notifications: asked for only when you turn on the daily reminder. If you say no, the app keeps working and tells you how to turn notifications on later.
- Set wallpaper: lets the app set a verse as your wallpaper when you ask it to, or once a day if you turn that on.
- Internet is added by Google Play Billing so Play can process a purchase. The app itself makes no other network requests.
The app does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera. It never works out prayer or fasting times from where you are: the Ramadan planner shows only the times you enter yourself.
Your control
- Export all my data (Settings → Your data) saves everything listed above into a file you choose.
- Delete all data (Settings → Your data) erases it from your phone at once. A Pro purchase stays with your Google account.
- Uninstalling the app also deletes everything it stored.
Children
The app is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at the address above with a new effective date. We hold no data about you, so a change could never apply to data we already hold.
