Pomodoro Timer for Study ("the app") is published by Digital Shijil LLC, 34 N Franklin Ave Suite 687-#5144, Pinedale, WY 82941, USA.

This policy describes what the app does with your information. It is short because the app does very little with it.

The short version

The app collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. It has no account, no sign-in and no analytics, and it contains no code that sends your information anywhere. Everything the app records stays on your phone until you delete it.

What is stored on your device

The app writes the following to its own private storage on your phone:

• Session history — for each focus interval or break: when it started and ended, how long it was meant to last, how long it actually ran, whether it completed or was skipped, and the name of the task attached to it, if any.
• Tasks — the single-line task names you type, and whether each one appears on the home screen.
• Settings — your interval lengths, auto-start preference, end sound, vibration and theme choices, and the location of a custom sound file if you chose one (Pro).
• Timer state — enough to restore a running session if the app is closed or your phone restarts the app.
• Purchase state — a single yes/no flag recording whether the Pro unlock is owned, kept only so the app is not briefly locked while it reconnects to Google Play.

None of this is transmitted. There is no server. There is no copy of it that the publisher, or anyone else, can see.

What the app does not do

• It contains no analytics, crash-reporting, attribution or advertising library, and no code that contacts a server.
• The app does list the internet permission, and we would rather explain that than have you wonder: it comes from Google's own billing library, which needs to reach Google Play to sell the Pro unlock. No part of the app uses it to send your information anywhere.
• It does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, calendar, location, photos, or any advertising or device identifier.
• It does not create a profile of you, and nothing about you is sold, shared or licensed to anyone.
• It does not read your files. If you choose your own end sound, you pick that one file through Android's own file picker and the app only plays it.

Google Play and the Pro purchase

The Pro unlock is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Google Play. The app never sees your payment details. It asks Google Play one question — whether this Google account owns the unlock — and stores the yes/no answer locally. Because Google Play holds the entitlement, reinstalling the app or moving to a new phone restores Pro without any account of ours.

Google's handling of the transaction is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

The app also uses Google Play's in-app review feature, which may ask once whether you would like to rate the app. That prompt is shown by Google Play, not by us, and we receive no personal information from it — only your public rating and review, if you choose to leave one.

Notifications and the foreground service

While a session is counting down, the app runs a foreground service and shows an ongoing notification with the time remaining. This is what allows the countdown to stay accurate with your screen off. The service stops as soon as the timer is idle. The notification permission is optional: refuse it and the timer still keeps correct time.

Your control over your data

Both of these are in Settings → Your data, and neither needs a request or an email:

• Export all my data — writes your complete history, tasks and settings to a JSON or CSV file at a location you choose.
• Delete all data — permanently removes every session, task and setting from your phone. This cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy.

Uninstalling the app also removes everything. Automatic cloud backup is switched off, so your history is not copied to Google Drive; it can be carried across in a direct device-to-device transfer when you set up a new phone.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. It collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Legal bases and your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA)

Because no personal data is collected, transmitted or processed by us, there is no controller holding data about you and no processing to object to. Rights of access, portability, correction, erasure and deletion are satisfied directly by the export and delete features described above, which you can use at any time without contacting us. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, because we do not receive any.

Changes

If a future version of the app collects or transmits anything — for example if advertising is added — this policy will be updated before that version is released, the "last updated" date will change, and the app's Data Safety declaration on Google Play will be updated to match.
