Privacy Policy — Plant Watering Reminder

Plant Watering Reminder keeps a watering schedule for your houseplants. This policy explains what the app does with information. The short version: everything you enter stays on your phone. We never see it.

What the app stores

The app stores the following on your device only:

• The plants you add: name, nickname, room, light level, watering, fertilising, misting and repotting intervals, and the dates you last did each.
• Your care journal: dated notes and the growth photos you choose to add.
• Your settings: reminder time, whether reminders are on, winter mode months and percentage.
• A short-lived note that you bought Pro, so Pro features work offline. Google Play remains the record of the purchase.

Photos you add are chosen through the Android photo picker. The app receives only the photos you pick, makes a smaller copy inside its own private storage, and never asks for access to your photo library.

What the app does not do

• No account, no sign-up and no login.
• No analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no advertising ID.
• No crash-reporting service. If the app crashes, Google Play may show us anonymous crash statistics through Android vitals, under Google's own policies.
• Nothing you enter (plants, notes, photos, settings) is sent to us or to anyone else. The app has no server.
• No plant identification from the camera and no access to your camera.
• No location, contacts, microphone or other personal data.

Google Play

Purchases of Pro are handled entirely by Google Play. The app asks Google Play whether you own Pro; it never receives your payment details. Google's Play Billing library, which the app uses for this, can also send Google technical diagnostics about the purchase process. That exchange is between your device and Google, under Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

If you choose to rate the app, the review sheet is shown by Google Play.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, Android asks your permission to show notifications. Reminders are created and shown on your phone. You can turn them off in the app or in Android settings at any time.

Backups

• Android backup: if you use Android's own device backup, your plants, journal, settings and photos can be included in it, under your Google account's backup settings. The Pro purchase note is excluded.
• Export and backup files: "Export all my data" and "Back up to a file" write a file only to the place you pick. What happens to that file afterwards is up to you.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete all data erases every plant, journal entry, photo and setting from the app on this phone. Uninstalling the app also removes everything it stored. A Pro purchase belongs to your Google account and is restored automatically if you reinstall.

Children

The app is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
