Privacy Policy: Gift List & Secret Santa

Gift List & Secret Santa ("the app") is published on Google Play by DIGITAL SHIJIL LLC ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with information. The short version: your gift lists, the people on them and your Secret Santa draws stay on your phone. We have no servers, no accounts and no analytics, and we never see your lists.

What stays on your phone

Everything you type into the app is stored only in the app's private storage on your device:

• people you buy for: names, relationship, birthday (month and day, with the year only if you add it), sizes, likes and notes;
• an optional photo of a person, which you choose with the Android Photo Picker. The app keeps a small copy for the person's avatar and never gets access to the rest of your photos;
• occasions, budgets, gift ideas, prices, store names, links (saved as text; the app never opens them) and notes;
• Secret Santa groups, the pairs who must not draw each other, and the names drawn. The draw happens on the phone. Nobody else, including us, can see who drew whom;
• your settings, such as the currency and birthday reminder choices.

We cannot see, collect, sell or share any of it. There is no account and no sign-in.

What the app does not do

• It does not read your contacts. People are typed in by you.
• It has no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDK, and it does not use the advertising ID.
• It does not use your location, camera, microphone or storage beyond its own private folder.
• It does not send messages or emails. When you choose to share a shopping list or a Secret Santa name, Android's share sheet opens and you decide which app receives it and who it goes to.

Google Play Billing

Pro is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Google processes the payment; we never receive your card or payment details. The Google Play Billing library included in the app sends Google diagnostic information about the purchase connection so that purchases work reliably. For Google Play's Data safety form we therefore declare: App info and performance > Diagnostics: collected, not shared, required. This data goes to Google under Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy), not to us.

Backups

If you have turned on Android backup for your Google account, Android may include the app's lists, settings and person photos in your own device backup, so they come back on a new phone. That backup belongs to your Google account; we have no access to it. You can also save everything yourself with Settings > Export all my data.

Notifications

If you turn on birthday reminders, the app asks for permission to show notifications. Reminders are prepared on the phone; nothing is sent to us. If you refuse, the app keeps working and simply shows no reminders.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays until you delete it. Settings > Delete all data erases every person, photo, list, gift, budget, Secret Santa and setting from the phone at once. Uninstalling the app also removes it. Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

Children

The app is made for adults who organise gifts. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the address above with a new date.
