Privacy Policy — Pre-Trip Inspection & DVIR

This policy covers the Android app Pre-Trip Inspection & DVIR (package com.veltislabs.dvirlog), published by VELTIS LABS LLC ("we"). Contact: contact@veltislabs.com.

The short version

The app keeps your inspection records on your phone. It has no account, no ads, no analytics and no location access, and it does not send your reports, photos or signatures anywhere.

What the app stores, and where

• Vehicle units you add (unit number, plate, VIN, description, odometer).
• Inspection reports: checklist answers, defects, defect photos, your signature, mechanic sign-offs, next-driver reviews and amendments.
• Custom checklists, maintenance reminders, and your driver and carrier name for new reports.

All of this is stored in the app's private storage on your device. Android's own device backup may include it if you have backup turned on; that is governed by your Google account settings.

What leaves your phone

• Nothing, unless you choose to share it. When you share a PDF, a CSV or a backup, the Android share sheet sends it to the app you pick; what that app does with it is under its own policy.
• The app requests no internet or location permission.

Google Play Billing

If you buy Pro, the purchase is handled by Google Play. Google's Play Billing library, which the app includes, can send Google diagnostic information about the billing library itself. For the Play Data safety form this is declared as: App info and performance > Diagnostics: collected, not shared, required. We receive no payment details. Notifications

If you turn on maintenance reminders, the app asks for permission to post notifications. Reminders are computed on your device; no server is involved.

Children

The app is for adult commercial drivers and is not directed at children under 13.

Deleting your data

Settings > Delete all data removes every report, photo, signature, unit, checklist, reminder and setting from the app. Uninstalling the app also removes it. We hold no copy.

What this app is not

This app is an inspection record-keeping tool. It is not an electronic logging device (ELD), it does not record hours of service, and it makes no claim of FMCSA registration, approval or compliance on your behalf. For personal record-keeping. Not an official document.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published at https://apps.digitalshijil.com/dvir-log/privacy/ with a new date.
